Participation in the quiz is free – and there are many attractive prizes to be won: the first prize is an exclusive VIP ticket for the World Chess Championship 2008. This VIP ticket includes: exclusive seats in the playing hall (front row), entrance to the VIP room incl. catering, exclusive seats in the commentary room, official World Championship chess set incl. chessboard (plus figures) signed by Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik.

Terms and Conditions for Participation in the World Championship Quiz:

1. The participant agrees that his full name and address may be published in reports about the quiz.

2. The participant agrees that UEP may send e-mail information about the quiz to the address provided on registration.

3. UEP reserve the right for changes or supplements to the existing offer at any time, without previous notice.

4. UEP will not be liable in cases of Server failure or functional technical faults.  

5. All UEP and CMS staff, including their families, common-law partners as well as persons sharing their accommodation, are not permitted to participate in the quiz.

6. Any person accepting a prize must be at least 18 years of age. To accept a prize, persons under the age of 18 or otherwise limited in their contractual capacities must provide approval by (a) parent(s) or their legal guardian. 

7. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions for Participation should become invalid the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 

8. There can be no recourse to legal action. 

9. To ascertain the final standings, the results the participants achieved either on the German or English UEP website will be merged in one final ranking.
